With this holiday rental near Angers in Maine-et-Loire, you can stay in a beautiful building, a former farm belonging to Soucelles Castle.
The village of Soucelles is situated in the ‘Basses vallées angevines’, wetlands of international importance that form part of the Natura 2000 network and are renowned for their rich biodiversity. A peaceful setting close to nature, yet just 20 minutes from Angers!
The restored house, with a floor area of 120m², is built in the local style, featuring oak beams, exposed stonework, slate roofing and low stone walls around the perimeter…
You’ll find a large living area with an open-plan kitchen, a spacious dining area and a lounge with sofas, an armchair, pouffes and a television.
The gîte offers two large bedrooms, each measuring 18m², with one 140cm bed and one 90cm bed in each. Each level has a shower room and a separate toilet. The ground-floor bedroom is accessible via three steps from the living area.
Outside, there is a large gravel courtyard enclosed by a gate, with various areas where you can relax depending on the weather: garden furniture to enjoy the shade of the beautiful tree, or under the leafy pergola where a second seating area awaits you in case of hot weather. A lawned area is accessible via a few steps. A communal play area is situated about fifty metres from this lawned area but is not visible from the courtyard. A barbecue, deckchairs and a table tennis table are also at your disposal to help you make the most of your holiday.
You’ll be 700 metres from a supermarket and its petrol station, and 900 metres from the village centre with a bakery, post office, tobacconist’s and more…
Swimming in the River Loir is 1 kilometre away, with lifeguards on duty in July and August; there are also walking trails and fishing spots nearby.
The gîte’s location makes it easy to explore the main tourist attractions of Anjou. The Château du Plessis-Bourré is about 10.5 km away, Terra Botanica in Angers is about 14 km away, and the historic centre of Angers, with its famous château, is 20 km away. An ideal location for exploring Anjou whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
The owner’s house is situated as an extension of the farmhouse. The living areas are clearly defined and offer complete privacy for everyone’s comfort. For environmental reasons, the temperature in the gîte will be set to a maximum of 20°C.
Private parking is available 40 metres from the gîte. You can drive right up to the gîte to unload your luggage and shopping. There is a garage on the gîte premises.
The price includes the hire of bed linen, wood-pellet central heating and service charges.
Optionally, you can arrange for a end-of-stay cleaning service at a rate of €50 and towels at a rate of €7 per person.
