L'Aubrière

Former stable converted into a gîte for 4 people, in the traditional Anjou blue slate style.

Welcome to the L'Aubrière gîte! Located in the heart of Anjou Bleu, in the middle of the countryside, the key words of your stay will be nature, peace and tranquillity. This comfortable accommodation for 4 people is ideally situated between Angers and Château-Gontier, providing a perfect base for visiting the many picturesque villages with their typical stone and slate buildings: Chenillé Changé, la Jaille Yvon, Daon, Chambellay...

Recently converted from an old stable on a 4-hectare property, this 58m² self-catering cottage comprises :

Ground floor:
- A living room with lounge/living room and fitted kitchen with wood burner
- A bathroom with bath and shower
- Separate WC
- A hallway with cupboard and staircase.

First floor:

- A first bedroom with a 160cm X 200cm bed
- The second with a 140cm X 190cm bed

For your convenience, beds are made up on arrival.
Baby equipment provided on request (cot and high chair). Parking on the property. Pets accepted on request only.

Outside, enjoy a private, unoverlooked area with a 20m² terrace and a grassy area of around 250m². Barbecue, garden furniture and sun loungers are available. You will also have access to the entire property (4 hectares) to share with the owners, who live on site. An exceptional environment with a wood, a pond, an orchard and meadows dedicated to mares and llamas. The gîte and its unspoilt surroundings were awarded Gîte Panda status in 2024 in recognition of the owners' highly successful approach to preserving environments and species and promoting biodiversity.

The 3500m² pond is home to pike, roach, gudgeon, amur, blackbass... and a few frogs (free access to the pond, unsecured no-kill fishing).

The whole complex forms a wooded, verdant setting in the heart of nature for a stay synonymous with relaxation and rest.

Nearby: the river Mayenne and its towpath (Francette cycle route) 2km away, ideal for cycling holidays. Also 2km away, you can hire a boat without a licence to discover the banks of the river in a different way.

La Mine Bleue 26 km, the Lion d'Angers National Stud 12km, La Flèche Zoo 30mn away, numerous hiking trails and châteaux to visit. Angers is a 40-minute drive away (medieval castle, Terra Botanica, Aqua Vita, etc.).
