A great address in Dénezé-sous-Doué, in the Anjou countryside, between dolmens and troglodytes. Welcome to the "Gîte du Chant des Oiseaux", in the hamlet of Saugré, a large 117 m² gîte with 3 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, for stays of 6 to 8 people.

Set amidst dolmens and cave dwellings, come and stay in the hamlet of Saugré, in this spacious 117m² holiday cottage with 3 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. There are plenty of places of interest within a 20-minute radius of the gîte: Saumur, Brissac-Quincé, Doué-la-Fontaine, the banks of the Loire, Montreuil-Bellay…

With tuffeau stone walls and a tiled roof, you’ll be staying in a traditional house typical of the Doué region.

Outside, enjoy the lovely landscaped grounds. There’s a charming shaded terrace in front of the gîte: wooden garden furniture, a shade sail and pergola, a gas plancha, fairy lights… everything you need for lovely evenings al fresco. There’s a lovely unobstructed view over the fields at the top of the property. A little wooden treehouse on stilts will be a favourite spot for little adventurers. There’s also an aviary with a few geese at the top of the grounds, which the children will find entertaining.

Inside:
- Ground floor: large, fully equipped 21m² kitchen; high-ceilinged living room with dining area; lounge with television. From the lounge, two steps lead to the bedroom with two single beds.
From the kitchen, go up two steps to a hallway leading to: the master bedroom with a 160x200cm bed, shower and vanity unit; a second shower room; and the toilet.

Upstairs is the third bedroom, measuring over 15m², with a 160x200cm bed. On the mezzanine level, an additional sleeping area for two people is available on request (140x190cm). The staircase may seem a little steep.

Places to visit: Doué-La-Fontaine, 10 minutes away, featuring ‘Le Mystère des Faluns’, the Bioparc, troglodyte dwellings and sarcophagi, the ‘Chemins de la Rose’, and the troglodyte village of Louresse-Rochemenier. Just 20 minutes away, visit the towns of Saumur on the banks of the Loire, Montreuil-Bellay and its château on the banks of the Thouet, and the Château de Brissac. You’ll be at the crossroads of the Layon, Aubance and Saumurois wine regions, making for a rich wine-tourism experience. Angers is 40 minutes away. You can also explore the River Loire on foot or by bike, by barge, by canoe or on horseback...

The property is enclosed, but the private area of the gîte opens onto the rest of the grounds. On-site car park.
