A large gîte in a wing of the château with views over the countryside and the river Mayenne. Beautiful wooded grounds and heated swimming pool (April - September). Comfortable, well-decorated "large holiday home" atmosphere. Plenty of games: table football, volleyball net, trampoline, canoes, etc.
The living rooms are on the ground floor and the 5 bedrooms upstairs, with 4 shower rooms.
Ideal place for an overnight break or more on the towpath, the Vélo Francette, the greenway is 650m away, with access to the other bank via a bridge. Motorbike and bicycle garage available. Horses are also welcome in the meadow.
If you fancy a spot of fishing, take advantage of the Valette fishing pontoon on the Mayenne river (with federal fishing card), small fridge and sink for fishermen.
Local shops in the village of Villiers-Charlemagne 4km away, as well as the grocery-bar La Loupiote in Houssay, 1.8km away. The Vélo Francette provides access to restaurants on the towpath, 5km away, and to the town of Château-Gontier, 14km away.
For your outings, discover Château-Gontier, 12km away, with its market, museum, animal park - le Refuge de l'arche, the national theatre stage le Carré, gardens, marina with boat hire by the day or more, bicycles, kayaks and paddles, as well as its aquatic complex.
