A l'orée du bois

Situated in the Bauge region, 30 minutes from Saumur and 40 minutes from Angers, the “A l’orée du bois” holiday cottage welcomes you for a break with family or friends. You can recharge your batteries during this countryside break, close to the Chandelais state-owned forest, which offers plenty of opportunities for walking or cycling (you’ll find mapped routes available at the gîte). You can also make the most of the opportunity to go mushroom picking, weather permitting. The main shops are located 6 km from the gîte, in Baugé-en-Anjou. In the same town, you can go to the opera in July and August or play a round of golf. You can attend performances at the Festival d’Anjou at Baugé Castle during June and July.

You can make the most of your stay by visiting La Flèche Zoo, which is 20 minutes away. Saumur and its famous Cadre Noir are just 30 minutes away, and you can also use this trip to explore the many vineyards that welcome visitors for wine tastings. The Loire Valley, with its châteaux and the ‘La Loire à vélo’ cycle route, is also 30 minutes away. For cultural outings, Angers – with its historic centre, château and Terra Botanica botanical park – is 40 minutes away.

Set in a new-build house, this fully single-storey holiday cottage – accessible to guests with reduced mobility – features a large living area with a fully fitted kitchen and a dining area. The sitting area offers stunning views over the Bauges countryside. The hallway leads to four bedrooms: the first three each have a double bed (140cm x 190cm), whilst the fourth has two single beds (90cm x 190cm). A sofa bed in the lounge can accommodate two additional guests on request. There are also two shower rooms. One of these has a toilet and a shower fitted with grab rails.

Outside, you can enjoy a covered terrace, perfect for dining in the shade. There are also sun loungers where you can relax whilst admiring the view of the Bauges countryside.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the accommodation. A cot, high chair, changing table and baby bath are also provided. A wooden playpen is available on request. For your convenience, cleaning, heating and electricity are included in the rental rates.
